The Faculty of Arts and Sciences, one of the most distinguished faculties of Akdeniz University, has been continuing its education and training services, which it started in 1982, as the Faculty of Science since the 2010-2011 academic year, with the decision of the Council of Higher Education dated 25.10.2010 and numbered 1058. Our faculty, with its management structure and competent staff, is taking safe and secure steps towards the future in line with strategic planning.

90 academic and 18 administrative personnel work in 5 departments of our faculty, and a total of 1364 students receive education.

In addition to the education and scientific activities carried out in our faculty, we provide experiment, analysis and consultancy services to both public institutions and organizations and businesses operating in the private sector, which they need during the product and service production phase. In this way, an attempt is made to create a corporate identity structure that meets the needs of the society, accelerates scientific studies, creates its own resources and uses the resources it creates effectively and efficiently. Developing this structure in the future and updating it according to the requirements of the age is one of the most important goals of our Faculty.

Mission
To produce knowledge by acting with scientific approaches and principles in the field of basic sciences and to use technological elements while producing knowledge, to interact with the national and international world of science and technology, to have a strong corporate culture and identity, to engage in education and training activities at an international level based on the principle of "think about the reasons for events".

Vision
The primary aim of Akdeniz University Faculty of Science is to train scientists who will serve our country and the world in the field of basic sciences, who care about regional and national development with their qualified scientific studies, who are committed to ethical values, who research, who question, and who contribute to the solution of problems, and to be a faculty that attaches importance to innovative and entrepreneurial projects, who has met universal requirements in the field of education, and is preferred at national and international levels.
